An evening in Vancouver, BC 14.05.07

May 14, 2007

We came back from Portland about 3 pm and our spirit was still up. We returned the car and headed out to see the city of Vancouver, Manuel's second home. We were so happy to be back to Vancouver. We felt like we were home even my home is in Calgary but I still felt that way.
We took a bus downtown.
The clock started to countdown already to Olympic 2010 in Vancouver.

We walked around on Granville St. and then we cut to my favorite street in Vancouver, Robson St. I didn't shop at all just only few postcards. Thanks to Manuel who dragged me out of the shop :p I didn't shop at all when we went to the States. Stranger than fiction :)
From Robson St., we walked through Davie St. and Yaletown.

At the Marina, we took Aquabus. It was our first time to take this Aqua bus.
Now we were on the boat, or the Aqua bus. We set off from Yaletown to Granville Island.
I enjoyed every minutes in Vancouver.
The driver of the Aquabus was a young fine gentleman. He asked if I would like to try driving the boat... and why should I say no? Hehehe... So I was the captain with two passengers, the driver and Manuel :)

This is our boat. The boat I drove!

The gate to the Pacific Ocean
We walked from Granville Island to English Bay @ Kitsilano Beach I think this is the best place in Vancouver to watch the sunset. I already fell in love with Vancouver. It has everything, mountains and beach. The city is big and full of fun and chic shops and restaurants. It makes me miss Bangkok, but Bangkok doesn't have any beach.

Ciao Vancouver! See you later aligator :)
