Loy KraThong Festival

Loy Krathong Festival

Last week, it was Loy Kra Thong festival. I spent time with my parents. This festival is believed to be the time that people give apology to the river goddess for making the river dirty. People make a container (Kra Thong) which is made from banana leaves, flowers and with incense and candles. And then they float (Loy) the Kra Thong in the river or canal. So loy krathong means to float the kra thong. This festival is celebrated through out Thailand and it is held on the full moon day in November. On this day, people usually go out at night with friends or family and they make or buy Kra Thong. This year I didn't make mine cus i was too busy but my mom brought one for me from her school. krathong vendor. u can choose anyone u like!

Here we were crossing the border to Myanmar.
Welcome to Myanmar
